About Picasso
Malaga - Native town of Pablo Ruiz Picasso
Pablo Ruiz Picasso was born in Málaga the 25th of October
1881, where he lived during
ten years. He went with his family to Galicia, to La Coruña,
and later on to Barcelona y
Paris. During lifetime Picasso made some short visits to Málaga
where he was
fascinated by the light and the great beauty of his native town.
The political situation
prevented him to come back. Picassos greatest wish, however, was
to have a
museum with all his work in Málaga. This was realized not
before October 2003.
The museum contains over 200 of his work of arts. This is the
reason why Málaga
converts into a worldwide reference of artwork, due to one of
the world most creative
artist of the 20th century.
